WATCH: YouTube Star MrBeast Helps 1,000 Blind People See Again by Sponsoring Their Cataract Surgeries

The fame YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson aka MrBeast is definitely using all his fame and fortune for a better cause and into making the world a better place.

According to fresh reports, Mr Beast has paid for cataract removal for 1,000 people, who were blind or near-blind but could not afford the surgery.

“We are curing a thousand people’s blindness” the YouTuber informed in the Saturday video, which reached over 32 million views as of Sunday afternoon. The video featured emotional before-and-after footage of patients seeing with clear vision after the surgery was successful.

Mr Beast was also seen giving donations and other gifts to some of the participants. Jeff Levenson, an ophthalmologist and surgeon, told CNN that one day he got a call from Donaldson’s team and he was conveyed about Mr Beast’s plan.

“We started calling homeless shelters and free clients to create a list of patients in the Jacksonville area who needed cataract surgery but could not afford it. Eventually they had the list of 40 patients – and Levenson performed all of their surgeries in a single day -starting at 7 am and ending at 6 pm,” Mr. Levenson said.

He also informed that patients were in disbelief that somebody would actually seek them out to rescue them from blindness, and then have the kindness and genroisity of spirit to offer the surgery
