Former Australian captain Glen McGrath has revealed his top four contenders for the upcoming 2023 ICC Men’s World Cup.
While speaking to the Times of India, McGrath rated India, Australia, England and Pakistan as his favourites to play semifinals in the marquee clash.
“You wouldn’t be surprised I’m putting Australia in that four. Obviously, India are playing in their own conditions. England are playing some great cricket and Pakistan are also playing fine. So they are the best four,” McGrath said.
The high-octan 50-over format tournament will kick start from October 5 with defending champion England and New Zealand playing the opener.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to release update schedule of the tournament as BCCI secretary Jay Shah has also confirmed that few matches are likely to get new dates, but there will be no changes in the venue.
