Months ahead of the World Cup 2023 in India, Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma are likely to open for Men in Blue. Fresh reports have indicted that Shubman Gill might be moved to the middle-order following doubts over KL Rahul’s participation.

As reported by Cricbuzz, the final team composition and batting order will be determined during the Asia Cup 2023 preparatory camp scheduled in Bengaluru from August 22 to 29.

While KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer are unlikely to feature in the Asia Cup 2023, the duo remain in contention for the World Cup 2023.

Meanwhile, BCCI is soon to announce updated schedule for the ODI World Cup as BCCI secretary Jay Shah had earlier confirmed that dates of the five to six games will be changed, but, venues of the games will remain same.
