Asia Cup 2023 headlined the calendar for next two tears as the chairman of Asia Cricket Council tabled the itinerary for cricket in Asia Cup, on Thursday.  While releasing the structure and calendar for the year 2023-24, ACC chair Jay Shah stated that the schedule ‘signals our unparalleled efforts and passion to take this game to new heights.’

“With cricketers across countries gearing up for spectacular performances, it promises to be a good time for cricket,” Mr. Shah tweeted. Meanwhile, Jay Shah, who is also BCCI secretary, informed that Asia Cup 2023 will be held in September, but in 50-over format. Though, Mr. Shah didn’t mention the details of itinerary and host country.

While the Asia Cup 2022 was held in T20 format, Mr. Shah confirmed that the forthcoming edition will take place in 50-over ODI format. Notably, Asia Cup 2022 was held in the shortest format because of the T20 World Cup, which was scheduled to take place after a few months. Similarly, Asia Cup 2023 will be played in the 50-over format as the World Cup (ODI) is scheduled, later this year in India.
