Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar believes whenever he picks the bat it should be for serious business and not fun. Known for his discipline and adherence to his principles among other things, Tendulkar became part of the Indian sporting history.
While speaking at India Today conclave, Tendulkar said that he not into training so much these days, and stated that he only picks up the bat when its serious business, expressing his respect for the sport.
The legendary batter further said that one should never take anything for granted and specially when ‘you are playing for India.’
“My coach, my family and my brother said, everyone told me that ‘when you have bat in your hand, don’t fool around,” he added.
Tendulkar has host of batting records to his name but smashing 100 centuries at international stage is one of the most special ones. The Mumbai batter also holds the record for most international runs with 34357.
