WATCH: Shahrukh Khan’s perfect response on ‘if he was a Hindu’ query, old video resurfaces

Shahrukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan is arguably Greatest of All Time and not just because of his acting skills or charm, but the actor is widely popular for his sharp response and wit. The 57-year-old is currently ruling the box-office with his new release Pathan, which is scripting new box-office records every day.

While the pre-release movie was marred with several controversies for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments and other pity reasons, an old video of Sharukh Khan giving apt response on ‘if he was a Hindu’ query, has resurfaced on social media.

During India Today Conclave in 2009, Mr. Khan was asked about if would have enjoyed the same kind of stardom and acclaim if his name was Shekhar Radha Krishan (Hindu name) instead of Shahrukh Khan.

While many would take a back in such situation and think twice before responding, the ‘My Name is Khan’ actor earned a round of applause for his apt response.

“I don’t think there would be any difference. I have never been made aware through my profession, or otherwise about my religion in this wonderful country. I find it really strange when I hear this also”

“I think artists have that tendency since you don’t really consider who is from what community, from what sect, you just like it/them or you don’t. I would still smell as sweet whatever name you call be by,” SRK said. Check out the video of what Mr. Khan said.

Meanwhile, SRK received warm response from his fans in the country as his new release instantly became blockbuster.

According to recent reports, the Siddharth Anand directorial – also starring Deepika Padukone and Johan Abraham – has fetched over Rs. 200 crore and more than 1.15 crore people have already watched the movie. Reportedly, Pathan has overtaken KGF2 and Baahubali 2, in terms of box-office numbers.
