Despite Afghanistan concluding their 2023 ODI World Cup campaign with a loss to South Africa at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the team, led by Hashmatullah Shahidi, showcased an impressive performance, securing notable victories against Pakistan and England.
They even gave five-time champions Australia a significant challenge at the Wankhede Stadium.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz played a crucial role in Afghanistan’s campaign, amassing 280 runs in nine matches with an average of 31.11 and a strike rate of 98.93.
