23-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic was in his elements in the Wimbledon 2023 opener against Argentina’s Pedro Cachin at the Center Court on July 3, Sunday.
The second seed won heart for more than one reason and one of them was using his towel to dry Centre court before the match.
The 7-time Wimbledon champion advanced further after an easy battle against the Argentine debutant Pedro Cachin – 6-3, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4).
Although, light drizzle delayed the game for a while after Djoko wrapped up opening set 6-3.
As Djokovic and Padric arrived at the court to check the status of the court, Serbian used his towel to rub on the court – that invoked laughter from the crowd.

“It was definitely frustrating for the crowd waiting for us, and us players. We both wanted to play but the conditions were not great. I normally come out with rackets not with towels but it was fun to do something different,” Djoko said after winning the game.
