Saudi Arabia: A moment that has gone viral now showed Saudi Arabia’s iconic clock tower at Mecca was hit by a lightning as the city hit by heavy storm and rain.
Renowned photographer Youssef Bajjash captured the moment as the world’s largest clock tower. Watch the video here.
As reported by Al Arabiya, Bajjash said that as soon as the clouds began forming in Mecca, he went up to a slot to capture the flash of lightning.
“I was able to capture the moment the lightning hit the Mecca Clock Tower which resulted in this majestic view,” Bajjash was quoted by Al Arabiya.
The city of Mecca has witnessed heavy rainfall and thunderstorms with the National Centre of Meteorology issuing a red alert – the highest.
