WATCH: Khalistani Extremists Set Indian Consulate In San Francisco On Fire; US Condemns

A day after India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar urged ‘partner countries like US, UK, Australia and Canada’ to not give space to Khalistani extremists, Indian consulate in San Francisco was allegedly set fire by Khalistan group on Sunday, July 3.

Notably, this was the second such attack on the consulate in five months. According to senior journalist Aditya Raj Kaul, the video of the same was released by Khalistani radicals. What the video here.

Reports have confirmed that no injury was reported and the fire was immediately doused. Meanwhile, US State Department strongly condemned the incident and termed it a ‘criminal offense.’

The U.S. strongly condemns the reported vandalism and attempted arson against the Indian Consulate in San Francisco on Saturday. Vandalism or violence against diplomatic facilities or foreign diplomats in the U.S. is a criminal offense,” Matthew Miller, Spokesperson, US State Department.

As per ANI, Indian Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Dr TV Nagendra Prasad, Consul General, Consulate General of India, San Francisco, have been targeted in a poster purportedly circulated by Sikh extremists who have accused them of playing a role in the June killing of Khalistan Tiger Force chief and designated terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
