WATCH: Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi Leaves For Violence-Hit Manipur

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has embarked on his two-day visit to violence-hit Manipur on Thursday, June 29. Senior congress leader and AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal confirmed the news and said the Rahul Gandhi has left his residence in New Delhi.

Mr. Venugopal also informed that Rahul Gandhi will interact with representatives of civil society in Imphal and Churachandpur during his maiden visit to the state since deadly violence broke out.

Amid ethnic clashes between Meitei and Kuki communities in Manipur, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is being looked as significant development.

Reportedly, more than 130 people have lost their life since May 3 and the opposition has been demanding the imposition of President’s rule in the state.
