WATCH: Colonel Manpreet Singh’s Son, Wearing Army Uniform, Daughter Salute Father

Punjab: The mortal remains of Colonel Manpreet Singh, killed in the Anantnag encounter, reached his home in Mullanpur in Mohali district on Friday.

Colonel’s two children – 2.5 years old daughter Vaani and a 6-year-old son Kabir – wearing a army uniform paid tribute to their father on September 14. Watch the video here.

Notably, a third-generation soldier, Colonel Manpreet Singh had left behind his mother, wife and two children.

Three Amy personnel were killed in the gunfight with terrorists in Anantnag district of South Kashmir. Colonel Manpreet Singh, the commanding officer of 19 Rashtria Rifles, Dhonchak and Deputy Superintendent of Police Humayun Bhat succumbed to injuries in the gunfight that ensured in the Garol area of Anantnag district in the morning hours of Wednesday.
