WATCH: Chepauk crowd chants ‘Dhoni Dhoni’ as MSD comes out in the middle during practice session ahead of IPL 2023

CSK skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni enjoys unreal fan following in India. ‘Thala’ has led the Chennai franchise to multiple-titles since his inception of the cash-rich league and Dhoni’s popularity in Chennai knows no boundary.

The same was evident when MS Dhoni came out to bat during a practice session at MA Chidambaram stadium ahead of IPL 2023.

Notably, CSK recently announced on Twitter that the C, D and E stands of the newly renovated MA Chidambaram Stadium will be open for fans to witness the practice session live in person.

As the CSK skipper walked out to bat in the middle, the crowd went gaga as they chanted ‘Dhoni Dhoni’ aloud to set Chepauk stadium alight. The CSK franchise shared the video of the same on Twitter.

Former champions will play opening fixture of the IPL 2023 against Gujarat Titans  at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on 31st March.
