Asia Cup 2023: Babar Azam Smashes 19th ODI Ton In Asia Cup Opener vs Nepal

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam smashed 19th ODI hundred on Wednesday while batting in the Asia Cup 2023 opener against Nepal at Multan Cricket Stadium.

After opting to bat first, Babar Azam-led side had a troubled start as the host were soon reduced to 25/1 in 7.1 overs. But Pakistan skipper Babar got much-needed support from Md. Rizwan in the middle as the duo added 96 runs for the third wicket.

However, Pakistan suffered back-to-back blows in the form of Md. Rizwan (44) and Agha Salman (5). But Babar Azam continued to his carnage and took just 109 deliveries to complete his 19th ODI hundred at the international stage.

It was the 42nd over of the 1st innings when Dipendra Singh bowled a short and wide delivery which Pak skipper cut behind square for a couple of runs. The top-seeded batter took out his helmet and bows down the Multan crowd.
