Virat Kohli Is Not: Aakash Chopra Makes Bold Claim On Test Fab Four

Aakash Chopra feels Virat Kohli is not part of the ‘Fab Four’ in Test cricket, adding that it’s only ‘Fab Three’ now. The 34-year-old is currently part of the Indian squad set to take on West Indies in the First Test of the two-match series, starting on July 12.
Meanwhile, Aakash Chopra made this shocking observation while speaking on his YouTube channel. “Virat Kohli, Joe Root, Steve Smith and Kane Williamson were a sure shot ‘Fab Four’ at one point.
“In fact, even David Warner’s name was present in that list. We are talking about Test cricket. We are talking about the period between 2014 and 2019. But we don’t have a ‘Fab Four’ now, only a ‘Fab Three’,” Chopra said.
Retired cricketer cited Kohli’s recent performance to back his statement and said that scoring 1277 runs in 25 Test matches, does not suit Kohli. “He has an average of 29.96 and he has scored just one century overall, which came against Australia on the Ahmedabad ground,” Chopra added.
“David Warner – 23 matches, 1250 runs, an average of 32.89. He has two centuries in that, including a big one. I feel at this point in time, as things stand now, Warner and Kohli are now part of the ‘Fab Four,’ Aakash Chopra concluded.
Virat Kohli will be seen in action in two-match Test series against host West Indies – starting from July 12.
