Virat Kohli had a terrific fourth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as the batter smashed brilliant century in the1st innings of the Test match.
The star Indian batter completed his much-awaited 28th Test century as the legendary batter touched the triple figures in red-ball cricket after hiatus of three years.
Its not that Virat was struggling to middle the ball in the four-match Test series against Australia but he was constantly failing to convert his brilliant 30s & 40s into big scores.
In a fresh development, veteran off-spinner R Ashwin has opened about his interaction with the legendary batter after India succumbed in the Indore Test.
“Personally, Virat and I had a conversation after the Indore Test. Not that we both connect too often on such lines but I just personally felt that Virat was batting well. He was timing the ball well and was getting out probably getting a good start. It was just about putting your hands around the shoulder and telling the person that you are batting brilliantly, just need to hang in there and things are going to turn around,” said Ashwin.
The No. 1 Test bowler further revealed that it has worked well for him during his career. The off-spinner further mentioned that Virat and Cheteshwar Pujara batted well which provided Men in Blue great advantage over the opponent.
