UP CM Yogi Adityanath forms a three-member Judicial Inquiry Commission to probe Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf’s murder

Prayagraj:Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday summoned Director General of Police (DGP) and Additional General of Police and other senior officials of UP Police and held a high-level meeting after gangster-turned politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were killed by unidentified assailants amid tight security in Prayagraj.

Meanwhile, reports have confirmed that the Chief Minister gave instructions to form a three-member Judicial Commission (Judicial Inquiry Commission) into the matter.

Following the shocking shootout, 17 police officials have been suspended over the incident and section 144 has been imposed in Prayagraj.
