To harm a community deliberately? West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee warns strict action against rioters during Ram Navami rally

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has warned of stringent action against those who are ‘involved into riots and conspiracy’ after Ram Navami rallies in Howard turned violent, on Thursday. 

“Those who are into riot and attack, we will not listen to any excuse. I will ask police to take strict action against those who are into riots and conspiracy,” WB CM said. 

She further launched attack on rioters for carrying swords to the processions and taking bulldozers in rally.

A Ram Navami rally in West Bengal’s Howrah district turned violent after youths from Swami Vivekananda Seva Sangh were seen waving swords and hockey sticks. 

“To harm a community deliberately? In people’s court, nothing will stand. No wrong or conspiracy will stand,” she added.
