External Affair Minister S Jaishankar slammed the Congress leader Siddaramaiah for ‘politicising’ the situation of Indians in violence-hit Sudan.
Notably, senior Congress leader Siddharamaiah highlighted the issue on social media and alleged that while 11 Indians are left stranded without food since the last few days and the government of India is yet to initiate action to bring them back.
“The BJP government should immediately open diplomatic discussions and reach out to international agencies to endure the well-being of Hakki Pikkis,” Siddharamaiah said.
In response, BJP leader schooled the Congress veteran by suggesting him not to politicise the matter.
“Simply appalled at your tweet! There are lives at stake. Don’t do politics,” Jaishankar tweeted.
