Suryakumar Yadav To Lead Team India In T20I Series Vs Australia: Report

Suryakumar Yadav is set to captain the Indian cricket team in the upcoming five-match T20I series against Australia starting on November 12 in Visakhapatnam.

VVS Laxman, the former Indian cricketer, will assume the role of head coach for the series, concluding in Bangalore on December 3.

The squad largely mirrors the one from the Ireland series, with the notable exception of resting captain Jasprit Bumrah.

This series marks India’s first action since the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, where they put on a remarkable performance but fell short in the final against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19, missing out on their quest for a third title.
