Supreme Court grants six-week interim bail to Ex-Health Min Satyendar Jain, ‘no media appearance’

New Delhi: Day after Delhi’s former health minister and AAP leader Satyendar Jain’s picture showing deteriorating health went viral on social media, Supreme Court on Friday granted him interim bail in a money laundering case on medical grounds for six weeks.
Jain has been in Tihar jail since his arrest in connection with a money laundering case in May last year. The apex court said Satyendar Jain cannot leave Delhi without permission and is not allow to make any media appearance.
The senior AAP leader was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in May last year allegedly for laundering the money through shell companies and buying land with illegal funds. However, AAP leader has denied the charges and said they were politically motivated.
Jain was admitted to Delhi’s Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) on Thursday after he collapsed in a bathroom of Tihar Jail due to dizziness. He was admitted to the ICU after his heath deteriorated.
