Sunny Deol-Ameesha Patel Starrer Gadar 2 Gets No Objection Certificate From Indian Army

Entertainment: The second edition of the Gada 2 – featuring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in the lead roles – has received no-objection certificate from the Indian Army.

As a pre-requisite for an army-based films in India to obtain a No Objection Certificate from the Ministry of Defence Preview Committee before release, the maker of the film Gadar 2 held a special screening and reportedly received a heartwarming response.

The Ministry has not only granted the certificate to the movie, but also shared a positive word with the makers and its star cast.   

Didn’t want to ride on the brand name:

In an exclusive interaction with the Economic Times, director Anil Sharma disclosed that he waited for the right script before going ahead with the sequel.

“I just didn’t want to use the brand name of ‘Gadar’ and ride on it. I heard several scripts but none satisfied me,” he was quoted by Times of India.
