State Planning On Pension Scheme For Unmarried People Age 45-60: Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar

Haryana: The Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar has revealed that his government was planning to introduce a pension scheme for all the unmarried people -aged 45-60 – in the state.

Notably, Haryana’s CM was responding to a query from a 60-year-old unmarried man’s pension-related complaint during ‘Jan Samvad’ Programme in Kamalpura village of Haryana’s Karnal district when he reveals that the state government is planning for a pension scheme for all the unmarried people.

The state government is planning to launch a pension scheme for unmarried people soon. The government will decide on the scheme within a month,” he said.

While the official numbers are yet to be revealed, reports have hinted that nearly 200,000 people are likely to be benefited.

The proposed scheme is being linked to the assembly election which is scheduled for 2024.

Report published in India Today has claimed that above mentioned scheme is also an attempt to improve the sex ration of the state. Currently, Haryana’s sex ratio stands at 917.
