Sri Lanka Eyes 5 Million Tourists During Asia Cup 2023; To Launch New Tourist Plans

With majority part of the Asia Cup 2023 is set to be hosted in Sri Lanka, island nation intends to cash in excellent opportunity to draw tourist during the continental tournament.

Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe recently announced a new tourist plan ‘Visit Sri Lanka’ that is likely to be launched around Asia Cup 2023. The president has confirmed that the proposal is in its final stage and will soon be made public.  

Plan to attrack 5 million tourist during Asia Cup 2023

As reported by the Lankan Express, the Sri Lanka government plans to launch the tourism plan and aiming to attract 5 million tourists to propel its economy. The match tickets will be available in dollars in order to improve the economy of the country.

About Asia Cup 2023:

The tournament is all set to start on August 30 in hybrid mode. While Pakistan, which is official host of the competition will host four games while Sri Lanka will enjoy the luxury to host 9 games.

Sri Lanka is also a defending champion of the tournament as Dasun Shanaka-led side defeated Pakistan, last year to lift the title.
