Shah Rukh Khan’s Upcoming Film “Dunki” Teasers Receive Censor Certificate

MUMBAI: 2023 is shaping up to be Shah Rukh Khan’s year in Bollywood. With the release of “Pathaan,” which emerged as an all-time blockbuster, and the subsequent success of “Jawan,” Shah Rukh Khan has once again solidified his position as one of India’s biggest stars.

Now, the spotlight turns to his upcoming film, “Dunki,” directed by the renowned Rajkumar Hirani, known for delivering all-time blockbusters. Fans have been eagerly awaiting a glimpse of the film, and it appears that the wait is almost over.

In an exciting development, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially granted censor certificates for two teasers of “Dunki.” The certification process was completed on October 30, 2023.

The first teaser of “Dunki” is a concise 58 seconds, while the second teaser offers a more extensive look at the film with a runtime of 1 minute and 58 seconds. Notably, both teasers have been awarded a ‘U’ certificate, indicating that they are suitable for all audiences.

An interesting detail on the certificate is the name of the applicant and producer, Sahil Chandramohan Khosla. Sahil Khosla is associated with Rajkumar Hirani Films, which is also a producer of the film.

This deviation from Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment as the applicant is significant and suggests a collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani’s production house.

“Dunki” features an ensemble cast, including Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani, and is set to hit theaters on December 22, 2023.
