Sanju Samson Sent Home As KL Rahul Joins Asia Cup Squad In Sri Lanka

Indian wicket-keeper Sanju Samson is returning India after KL Rahul joined Team India in Sri Lanka for the remaining matches of the Asia Cup 2023.

Notably, Sanju was travelling as a reserve with the squad and he has also failed to make the cut for the World Cup 2023.

Reportedly, Indian batter Sanju Samson has left the Team India squad amid the ongoing Asia Cup Super-Four stage.

Meanwhile, KL Rahul, who had missed the first two gams against Pakistan and Nepal in the Asia Cup after he picked a niggle, joined India and practices with the team’s nets on Thursday.

Team India will kick start it’s Asia Cup Super Four stage with a high-voltage clash against Pakistan on September 10 in Colombo. Previous group stage clash between the arch-rivals was washed out due to rain.
