Rajashtan Assembly Elections: Sachin Pilot, Sara Abdullah Divorced: Poll Affidavit

Rajasthan Congress leader Sachin Pilot and his wife Sara Abdullah have decided to separate after almost twenty years of marriage.

In a surprising revelation in his election affidavit for the forthcoming Rajasthan Assembly polls, Pilot declared himself as divorced.

This marks the first public acknowledgment of Pilot’s separation from his wife, who is the daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) chief Farooq Abdullah.

Sachin Pilot and Sara Abdullah Pilot tied the knot in 2004, and they are parents to two sons, Aran and Vihaan, as disclosed in the affidavit, where he also stated that both his sons are his dependents.

Additionally, the affidavit unveiled a substantial increase in Pilot’s wealth over the past five years. In 2018, Pilot’s total assets were valued at around Rs 3.8 crore. However, by 2023, his wealth had nearly doubled, reaching an estimated worth of Rs 7.5 crore.

The Rajasthan Assembly election is slated for November 25, with the results to be declared on December 3.
