Social Media: Indian skipper Rohit Sharma breached 10,000 run mark on Tuesday, September 12 while batting against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 stage game in Colombo.

Rohit achieved the feat in 241 innings and became the second fastest batter to complete 10,000 ODI runs.

While batting first, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill provided solid foundation to Men in Blue by adding 80-runs for the first wicket before 20-year-old Dunith Wellalage ran riot in India’s batting lineup.

In his 53-run knock, Rohit became the sixth Indian batter to add more than 10,000 ODI runs. As Rohit scripted history on Tuesday, Indian cricket fraternity congratulated the Indian batter on his marvellous feat.
