Riyad Mahrez hat-trick assures Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City berth into FA Cup final

Manchester City stormed into the FA Cup final for the first time since 2019 on the back of incredible hattrick by Riyad Mahrez against second-tier Sheffield United 3-0 at Wembley on Saturday.
United started off well as they kept City at bay in the first half but City bounced back well to take an early lead in the 42rd minute, when Mahrez converted a penalty.
Thereafter, Mahrez made his way through the Sheffield defence to add two more goals in the 61st and 66th minutes to complete his hat-trick.
With his stunning performance, Mahrez became the first player to do so in the FA Cup semi-final since Alex Dawson (Manchester United) against Fulham in the 1958. City had earlier reached the Champions League semi-final, where they will clash with Real Madrid.
