Rinku Singh funds construction of sports hostel for underprivileged young cricketers in Aligarh
Aligarh: Kolkata Knight Riders batter Rinku Singh is one of the rare talents currently playing in Indian Premier League. Known for his incredible finishing skills, Rinku Singh is a well-established name in India’s T20 league.
His astonishing finish against Gujarat Titans by smashing five consecutive sixes off the last to chase 29 will go down in the history of the IPL.
While Rinku Singh is already winning hearts with his spectacular batting style, Kolkata batter is all set to impress all of us with his off-the field gesture.
Fresh reports have claimed that Rinku Singh is sponsoring a sports hostel in Aligarh for underprivileged young cricketers in the city.
Reportedly, the hostel is under construction at the Aligarh Cricket School and Academy, which is a facility spread over 15 acres of land. As per reports facility is expected to be operational by May 2023, and Rinku will inaugurate it once he returns from the IPL.
Rinku’s childhood coach from Aligarh, Masooduz-Zafar Amini, told News18 that he always wanted to build a hostel for young players who do not have a financial resource to pursue their dreams.
“As he is financially sound now, he has decided to make it a reality. Around a dozen of our trainees will shift to the hostel. Here they will get rooms and food at a marginal cost. It will get ready by next month,” he said.
