Request with folded hands: Cabinet Minister on Rahul Gandhi’s Sarvarkar Samjhe Kyaa..? post

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is continuously making headlines for all the wrong reason. While the Wyanad MP is currently Delhi Police’s radar for ‘still being sexually assaulted’ remark during his highly-anticipated ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra,’ the Congress supremo has now given birth to yet another controversy.

The official Twitter handle of Congress tweeted Rahul Gandhi’s picture on Sunday. There was no issue with the picture but the caption used on the image drew sharp reaction from senior BJP leader Kiren Rijiju.

Notably, the Congress tweeted a photo of the former party chief in the driver’s set of a car and wrote, “Savarkar samjha kua… naam – Rahul Gandhi hai (Have you considered him Savarkar?…. the name is Rahul Gandhi.)”

In response, Law minister requested the Congress party to not ‘insult great personality Veer Savarkar.’ “Please don’t insult great personality Veer Savarkar. I request with folded hands,” he wrote. Check out Twitter thread.
