Remember Tomatino Festival In Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara? Check How Much Makers Spent On Tomatoes

With price hikes of tomatoes and other veggies being the hot topic in the town, one needs to acknowledge the fact that how the maker of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara spent whooping sum to shoot Tomatino festival in the film.

Notably, 15^th July completed 12 years of the film – featuring Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol and Katrina Kaif in the lead and it’s important to recall how filming one of the most ecstatic scenes turned out to be ‘logistical nightmare’ for the makers.

In one of the interaction, producer Ritesh Sidhwani revealed how to make the song looks authentic, makers had to procur 16 tons of tomatoes from Portugal because the tomatoes in Spain were not ripe.

Reportedly, the cost of tomatoes and getting them from Portugal, costed the makers Rs. 1 crore.

Zoya Akhtar disclosed that they shot the song at the actual location where the Tomatino festival is celebrated. Hence, they had to shut down the Bunyol town.
