My Two Supernovas: Ranveer Singh Seeks ‘A Chance’ After Replacing SRK In Don 3; Posts Heartfelt Note

Entertainment: A day after Farhan Akhtar confirmed that Ranveer Singh will supersede Shah Rukh Khan in the third instalment of the Don franchise, the actor on Thursday posted a heartfelt note expressing his gratitude to the filmmakers and SRK.
Taking Instagram, Singh posted his childhood pictures and revealed that portraying the Don has been his childhood manifestation.
“As a child I fell in love with the movies, and like the rest of us, watching and worshipping Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan – the two GO.A.Ts of Hindi cinema. I dreamed of growing up to be like them. They are the very reason I wanted to become an actor and a ‘hindi film hero,” he said.
The ‘Gully Boy’ actor further credited Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan for shaping him as a ‘person and actor’ he is today. “Taking their legacy forward is a manifestation of my childhood dream,” he said.
Banking on the success of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Ranveer Singh admitted that it is a huge responsibility to be part of the ‘Don’ dynasty.

“I hope the audience gives me a chance and showers me with live, the way they have for numerous characters over the past so many years,” added.
