Ranveer Singh dethroned Virat Kohli to become India’s most valuable celebrity in 2022: Report

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has dethroned Indian batting great Virat Kohli from the helm of India’s most valued celebrity in 2022. The report prepared by corporate investigation and risk consulting firm, Kroll, adjudged Ranveer Singh as the most valued celebrity in the list, with a brand valuation of $181.7 million.

Notably, Virat Kohli slipped to second spot with a brand value of $176.9 million as his brand valuation declined for second straight year. Virat’s brand value stood at over $237 million in 2020, but declined steeply in 2021 to $185.7 million.

The list followed actor Akshay Kumar at the third position with a brand value of $153.6 million, Alia Bhatt ($102.9 million) at fourth, Deepti Padukone ($82.9 million) at fifth and others.

Apart from Virat Kohli, world cup winning captain MS Dhoni was another cricketer in the list. Dhoni occupied sixth spot in the list with a brand valuation of over $80 million. Interestingly, South Indian stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandana made it to the list of India’s top 25 most valued celebrities.

Meanwhile, Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra also made it to the top 25, along with Commonwealth gold medalist PV Sindhu. They were both valued at $26.5 million.
