We Are Taking Criticisms Into Consideration: Ranbir Kapoor On Brahmastra 2

MUMBAI: In a recent candid conversation with his fans, Ranbir Kapoor, one of Bollywood’s leading actors, spilled the beans on the highly anticipated sequel, ‘Brahmastra 2.’
Not only did he confirm that the script for the second part is now complete, but he also reassured fans that the creative team has taken feedback and criticisms from the first installment to heart and is committed to avoiding those mistakes.
Sharing insights about ‘Brahmastra Part 2,’ Ranbir Kapoor revealed, “Brahmastra Part 2 is heavy into writing. We are working on it all the time. It’s just last week that Ayan narrated the film to me, and he has gone 10 times bigger than Part 1 – his idea, his thought, the character.” Kapoor’s excitement was palpable as he discussed the sequel’s ambitious vision.
Director Ayan Mukerji, known for his imaginative storytelling, has left no stone unturned in expanding the ‘Brahmastra’ universe.
Ranbir Kapoor continued, “Ayan is working on War 2 right now. So the plan is to finish War 2 by mid-next year, and we start shooting hopefully by the end of next year or the beginning of 2025.”
While the first installment of ‘Brahmastra’ achieved commercial success, it received mixed reviews from critics. Ranbir Kapoor portrayed the character of Shiva, with Alia Bhatt playing the role of Isha.

The film, directed and co-produced by Ayan Mukerji in collaboration with Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Namit Malhotra, managed to captivate audiences with its blend of mysticism and grandeur.
In acknowledging the response to ‘Brahmastra: Part One,’ Ranbir Kapoor candidly stated, “We understood the kind of criticism for the film, what worked for it and what didn’t. So we have taken everything into consideration, including the feedback on Shiva and Isha’s chemistry. Much of the criticism was constructive, and we have embraced it to understand and surpass it.”
