Ram Mandir | Rays of rising sun to touch idol’s forehead

Ayodhya: The new idol at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple will be installed in such a way that rays of rising sun will touch the forehead of the idol.
The general secretary of Ram Mandir temple trust, Champat Rai has claimed that a team comprising experts from CSIR-CBRI, center of astronomy and astrophysics, has been constituted for installation of idols in such a way that rising sun touches the forehead of idols.
The Times of India report has further informed that Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will invite top sculptures from around the country to prepare the idol for the temple. Report further confirmed that this idol will be the ‘baal roop’ (child appearance) of Lord Rama.
Mr. Rai also informed that the new deity will be installed in the temple on January 14, 2024. “By the end of 2023, the construction at the sanctum Santorum is likely to be completed,” added Mr. Rai.

The grand opening ceremony of the Ram Mandir will take place from December 2023 till Makar Sankranti, 2024. The idol will be placed at a height of nine feet and the devotees will be able to have its darshan from a distance of 45 feet.
