Rajouri Encounter: Army Dog Sacrifices Her Life While Proecting Indian Soldier

Rajouri: A 6-year-old Indian Army dog, identified as Kent, martyred on September 12, Tuesday while protecting a soldier during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri.
As per defence spokesperson, the martyred Female Labrador was leading a column of soldiers was caught amid heavy firing. The encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Narla village.

Kent was a female Labrador breed dog of the 21st Army Dog Unit, who laid down her life trying to save her handler.
“Kent was leading a column of soldier on the trail of fleeing terrorists. It came down under heavy hostile fire,” Defence Spokesperson was quoted by India Today.
Army dog Kent was at the forefront of ‘Operation Sujaligala.’
Meanwhile, one suspected Pakistani terrorist and Army soldiers were killed in a gunfight in Rajouri. Also, three security personnel were injured in an exchange of fire.
