Rajkumar Rao Likely To Portray The Character Of Bhagat Singh: Report

Entertainment: After perfecting essaying the character of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in a wed-series titled – Bose: Dead or Alive – Rajkumar Rao is gearing up to portray the character of yet another prominent freedom fighter.

As reported by Pinkvilla, Rao has been approached to play the iconic leader Bhagat Singh in an upcoming project.

“Rajkumar Rao is passionate about a project on Bhagat Singh and is very eager to play the revolutionary leader soon. The project is in a very early stage of development as writers are currently working on the script,” source close to the development told Pinkvilla.

The source further informed that Rajkumar himself is involved in the script development process and keeping a close eye on every aspect of the film.

“The team wants to make content around Bhagat Singh unlike another done before. The filmmakers want to follow a long-format to accurately depict minute details of Bhagat Singh’s life,” source added.

On the work front:

Rajkumar recently featured in Anubhav Singh’s ‘Bheed’ – alongside Bhumi Pednekar, Pankaj Kapur and Dia Mirza. The film revolves around the hardship faced by a section of the people stuck in lockdown imposed in 2020 during the rise of Covid cases.
