R Madhavan Appointed New FTII President; Minister Anurag Thakur Congratulates

Experienced and talented actor R Madhavan has been nominated as the next President of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and Chairman of the Governing Council.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Union Minister Anurag Thakur made the announcement and extended his best wishes to the National Award winning actor.

Heartiest congratulations to @ActorMadhavan ji on being nominated as President of @FTIIOfficial and Chairman of the governing council,” Minister wrote.

The BJP leader further said that Madhavan’s vast experienced and strong ethics will enrich the institute, and will bring positive changes. “My best wishes to you,” Thakur wrote.

In response, R Madhavan ‘thanked’ the minister and vowed to do his best to ‘live up all the expectations.’

Notably, R Madhavan’s brain-child ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ was honoured with the National Award in Best Feature Film award.
