Proud Moment For Me: Babar On Kohli’s ‘Top Batter’ Remark

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has admitted that Virat Kohli calling him ‘top batter across formats’ in 2022, boosted his confidence and it was a proud moment for him to hear such praise from the Indian batter.

Back in 2022, Kohli praised Babar Azam for not changing his attitude and respect toward him despite being such a top batter.

“It feels very good when someone passes comment like that about you. Virat Kohli’s comments about me, that was very proud moment for me and and it feels very good. Some things some praise give me confidence,” Babar said

The Pakistan skipper further recalled his interaction back in 2019 with the Indian batter.

“I went to him during the 2019 World Cup. He was at his peak then and is there now as well. I wanted to take something from him (learning). I got to learn a lot. I asked him some tough questions which I needed answers to and he explained everything nicely,” Babar added.

Meanwhile, Babar Azam smashed the fastest 19th ODI Ton on Wednesday while batting against Nepal in the Asia Cup 2023 opener at Multan Cricket Stadium.
