MUMBAI: Priyanka Chopra, the chairperson of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, inaugurated the prestigious event with an inspiring speech on the world of cinema. The festival attracted a diverse array of actors, including notable figures like Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor.
During her address, she emphasized the significant role of women in both on-screen and behind-the-scenes aspects of the film industry.
She recognized the exceptional contributions made by women in cinema, with some of them present at the event.
Following her opening remarks, the actress of “Bajirao Mastani” fame presented the Excellence in Cinema Award (International) to the renowned Italian film director, Luca Guadagnino. The festival is set to screen more than 250 films and is scheduled to conclude on November 5.
