No To Bully: Priyanka Chopra Halts Film Shoot When Co-Actor Tries to Impose Scene

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has reached a point in her career where she’s unafraid to stand up against co-actors who attempt to dictate her performance.
She shared an incident during a recent interview in which a co-actor from a successful film tried to impose their interpretation of a scene on her, leading to a temporary halt in the film shoot.
In her discussion with Film Companion, Priyanka emphasized that a film scene is a collaborative effort involving multiple people’s choices. She recounted instances when some co-actors treated scenes as solo performances, making decisions about how the scene should unfold without considering the contributions of others.
“I have had a couple of co-actors of mine who did solo performances. They came in, and they decided this is the scene that they want to do, and everyone else has to cater to that and ‘vo solo performance kar rahe hain.’ They don’t wait for you to finish your lines in your time, and they don’t wait for you to take a pause or breath because they have decided how to do the scene,” Priyanka explained.
When someone attempted to dictate how she should perform a scene, she raised her concerns, albeit “gently.”
Currently, Priyanka Chopra is eagerly anticipating the release of her upcoming Hollywood film “Heads of State,” alongside Idris Elba and John Cena. She recently graced the MAMI Film Festival in India.
