ISIS Fanatic Md. Arif Attacks Mother, Sister In Prayagraj

In a shocking incident, a man hacked his mother and sister to death and injured his father with an axe while chanting ‘Allah Hu Akbar’ in the Gaus Nagar area of Prayagraj on Wednesday.

Identified as Mohd. Arif, the accused tried to set the house on fire and threw bottles of acid at the policemen when they tried to rescue his family members.

While the accused has been arrested and is being questioned, an early investigation suggested property dispute as the prime motive behind the attack.

According to the elder brother, Mohd. Azam, around 1 PM, Mohd. Arif suddenly closed the main door of the house from inside and hacked his mother to death with an axe.

“Arif then attacked me, my wife and children. However, we locked ourselves in our room. He then assaulted our sister and killed her. He also set the LPG cylinder on fire. We ran outside the house but my son, Hasnain tried to escape from the terrace but got trapped and was injured” Azam said.

Threw acid bottles on Prayagraj police:

When the police intervened and fired multiple tear gas, Arif hid himself in the house and refused to surrender. He started throwing bottles of acid at the policemen and locals who tried to enter the house.

After two hours of tussle, Arif was forced to come out due to tear gas and was arrested. Police is investigating the matter.
