Poonch terror attack is similar to Pulwam, conspiracy by BJP: RJD leader

Day after terror attack on an army convoy in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir shocked the nation, RJD legislator Bhai Virendra triggered massive controversy by claiming that the recent terror attack in Poonch is a conspiracy of BJP government at the Centre ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The MLA from Lalu Yadav’s party drew parallels between the Pulwama attack in 2019 with fresh attack and said that both the incidents were similar in nature.

“The 2024 elections are about to come and the Poonch incident is very similar to the Pulwama attack and it appears that it could be a conspiracy of the central government. The incident that happened in Poonch was unfortunate and now the central government should come out with an answer to what is the reason behind the attack,” Mr. Virendra said.

Meanwhile, BJP termed the statement from the legislature as ‘shameful’ and said that RJD can sell anything for power.

“I pity the mindset of the RJD leaders. The RJD does not have a single word of condolence for the soldiers who have laide their lives in the line of duty but instead said that the Pulwama attack was staged by the Centre of votes. It is shameful,” BJP leader Arvind Kumar singh said.
