Many Policemen Injured, Several Properties Damaged In Stone Pelting During Muharram Procession In New Delhi – WATCH

New Delhi: Eight to ten policemen were severely injured and many sustained injuries after fringe elements pelted stones on police and locals during Muharram procession in New Delhi’s Nangloi district area on Saturday, July 29.

As per videos doing the rounds on social media, fringe elements from the particular community can be seen pelting stones on buses, bikes and passerby as the Muharram procession was being carried away.

Sensing the severity of the matter, Delhi Police had to lathi charge on fringe elements during which many policemen were injured, and were taken to the nearby hospitals. Watch the videos here (viewer discretion is advised).
