PM Modi Inquires About Delhi Flood; Speaks To HM Amit Shah And Delhi LG

As Delhi is dealing with unprecedented flood like situation due to the rise in Yamuna water level, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor to understand the prevailing threat on the city.

Delhi LG Vinai Kumar Saxena disclosed the development on Twitter and stated that Prime Minister has directed the authorities to take appropriate steps in the interest of Delhi by taking all possible help from the Central government.

Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi called from France and inquired about the waterlogging and flood situation in Delhi and the efforts being made to deal with it in detail,” Delhi LG tweeted.  

Then national capital of the country is witness an unprecedented flood like situation due to upsurge in the water level in Yamuna river. Taking cognizance of the situation, Delhi CM has instructed immediate closure of all the private and government schools in Delhi.

He also directed companies and government offices to priortize work from home for all its employees. The water level in Yamuna river is flowing few metres above from danger mark of 206 m.
