Not concerned so much about Suryakumar Yadav: Rahul Dravid

Although Suryakumar Yadav has stamped his authority in the shortest format of the game, but he is yet to prove his credibility in ODIs and Test cricket.

In first two one-day internationals against Australia, Suryakumar failed miserably including a duck in the second game. However, India’s head coach Rahul Dravid is not much worried of Suryakumar’s form and believes the batter is still learning the tricks and traits of the format.

“Not really concerned so much about Suryakumar. He got two first-ballers against two pretty good balls. One of the things about Surya is he is also learning the 50-over game a little bit. The T20 game is slightly different,” Dravid said.

The head coach further claimed that Suryakumar Yadav has not much played 50-over format even in the domestic circuit due to which he needs some time to adapt the format.

“I think he has not played a lot of one-day cricket. We just need to give him some time and be patent with him. We certainly see the upside of him doing well, which is very good for the side,” Dravid concluded.
