New Delhi: The government of India on Wednesday, 16 August clarified that there will be no VIP screening of the Gadar 2 movie for President Droupadi Murmu.
Earlier reports had suggested that special screening of the movie has been organised for the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
“It is a regular screening that happens in Rashtrapati Bhavan and the President had not wished for any such special screening. The President is not attending the screening,” PIB said.
Gadar 2 team received a call from censor board
The media reports claimed that the Gadar 2 team had received a cell from the censor board stating that the President wished to watch the film.

The reports quoted the film’s director and producer Anil Sharma expressing his joy over the request.
Starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, Gadar 2 is touted as one of the most successful movies of the year. It was released on August 11.
