ISIS Terrorist, Planning To Carry Out Terror Acts In India, Held In New Delhi

New Delhi: In a significant development, a suspected Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist and two other terror suspects have been arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell on Monday.
The ISIS terrorist, Mohammad Shahnawaz aka Shafi Ujjama was on the most wanted list of the National Investigation Agency (NIA). He also had a bounty of Rs. 3 Lakh on his head.
The arrest:
The arrests were made after an ISIS module in Delhi was revealed by a tip off. The module was planning to carry out terror attacks in north India, including Delhi.
Who is Shahnawaz?
An engineer by profession, was wanted in the Pune ISISI Module case. He is a resident of Delhi and had escaped from Pune police custody.
He was hiding in Delhi before being arrested. NIA had earlier announced a cash reward of Rs. 3 Lakh each for information about Shahnawaz.
IED recovered:
Delhi police has recovered several incriminating materials, including a liquid chemical, which is used to make Improvised Explosive Devices (IED).
