MS Dhoni-led CSK march into record 10 IPL final, beat Gujrat Titans by 15-runs – WATCH wining moment

Chennai: MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings scripted history on Tuesday by qualifying for the tenth finals in the history of the Indian Premier League.

Four-time champions beat defending champion Gujarat Titans by 15-runs to enter into the finals of the IPL 2023.

Speaking of the match, Chennai Super Kings posted modest 172 on board in the 1st innings on the back of Ruturaj Gaikwad (60 off 44), Devon Conway (40 off 34), and Ravindra Jadeja (22 off 16).

In response, Gujarat Titans had a topsy turvy run chase as the defending champions fell short of 15-runs in the second innings. Shubman Gill (42 off 38), and Rashid Khan (30 off 16) made notable contribution for their side.

Gujarat needed 20 off the last over with Md. Shami and Noor Ahmed on crease.

From Chennai, Matheesha Pathirana had the responsibility to defend the total. 1, 2WD, 1, 1, 4, 1, Wd, W – were the readings from the last over.

For Chennai, Deepak Chahar, Maheesh Theekshana, Ravindra Jadeja, and Matheesha Pathirana picked two wickets each. For his incredible knock, Ruturaj Gaikwad was adjudged Player of The Match.

By beating Gujarat Titans, Chennai Super Kings will now square off with the winner of the Qualifier 2 on May 26.
